If you are certian that the property is unfit for occupation then you should refuse to pay the rent as you are entitled to do so. Your Landlord will then have to make the decision to accept your claims and do something about it, or despute this and take you to court (remeber it is always better for your Landlord to take you to court than the other way around as it won’t cost you anything!). In the event you go to court, take your proof and you’ll be fine. Remember that you can only be evicted by a court order so your Landlord will have a job getting rid of you.
