Can you bargain with major chain furniture stores…i.e… City Furniture and Rooms to Go?
Yes, you can bargain with furniture chains and no, you’re not crazy. In fact, you should always attempt to bargain on large-dollar purchases. First, it never hurts to ask. Second, you never know what you might get for asking. My husband and I bought several rooms of furniture a couple of years ago and made our purchases at two chains, Mor and Room Store. We made deals at both. In one purchase, we offered cash today in exchange for a discount and they agreed to take off 5%. In the second, we received one very, large picture and a mirror thrown in to the deal plus free delivery. Just don’t be afraid to walk and the previous poster is right – leave your contact info and wait a day or two.
