Can XBRL GL Co-habitat with XBRL FR?

0

XBRL GL is 100% XBRL and has been developed to seamlessly integrate with other uses of XBRL. Also, special attention is being placed in the link between XBRL GL and XBRL FR: this link is already built in the RECOMMENDED modules, and the new Summary Reporting Contextual Data (SRCD) module, currently in Public Working Draft status, is designed to make that link even more evident and immediately usable, and to provide advanced linking capabilities that include, among others, linking to dimensional taxonomies. The GL/FR link allows to represent in a standardized, consistent and application-independent way the link between detail data, from original transaction up to the trial balance level, to multiple end reporting taxonomies (IFRS, US-GAAP, company or industry specific financial reporting formats), enabling automated reconciliation between those end reporting formats.
