Our customers have been able to achieve up to 10Gbps of streaming performance for both live and on-demand delivery hardware such as HP ProLiant G6 or equivalent. These multi-threaded, multi-CPU machines were finely tuned at the kernel level for maximum performance. Performance of up to 5Gbps is possible on a properly tuned average dual-quad core hardware with multiple 1Gbps NICs.
