Can weight lifting stunt a teens growth?
There is absolutely no proof, either scientific or anecdotal, that lifting weights can somehow stunt the growth of a young person, adolescent, or teen. In fact, if done properly, weightlifting can be part of a fitness program that helps to enhance the health of people of all ages. Naturally, a teenager or younger person should be supervised to make sure they not only lift safely, but also get adequate rest and nutrition as well.
