Can we use COCOMO as a cost estimation method in PSP?
Give briefly comments. Answer: COCOMO is a very popular method for cost estimation, and has been used in a lot of companies. Most of its applications are for teamwork environment. But I think it still can be used in PSP. The reason is that COCOMO has an important feature: it can be calibrated to fit in different environment, different project. This calibration includes: adjusting the cost driver and corresponding effort multiplier. For example, some of the cost drivers can be excluded if they are not applicable for PSP. The effort multipliers can be customized to reflect the cost drivers’ influence more accurately.
