Can we use AMC data to improve media plan forecasts of TV ratings?
Yes. Ratings data provided by Nielsen and CSM are estimates with quite limited granularity. If the target audience for your ad is simply housewives, then a forecast based on ratings data should be quite accurate. To the extent that your target is different from a “typical” household, or narrowly defined, the ratings will be a rough estimate, at best.
