Can we receive CME credit for Pfizer Visiting Professorships?
This is completely up to your institution’s CME office and their interpretation of ACCME Standards of Commercial Support. There are two elements they will likely look at most closely to make this decision. First is it independent from commercial influence and second does it reflect a need of your institution. With respect to independence, it remains our intent for this to be independent and was a principle reason why Pfizer supported this through the provision of an independent advisory board review where Pfizer does not influence the decision process. Whatever you decide within your institution, please be aware that it is our intent that only one Letter of Agreement (LOA) for each MAP award will be executed.
