Can we really trust our government & media regarding Iran & North Korea?
NO, we cannot trust anything we hear at all, because I bet 90% of it is complete lies and spin. Though I do believe that Iran and NK could be dangerous to us militarily, I only have to remember the lies the governments of the US and the UK spun on WMD that took us to a horrible war with Iraq and all the misery it cost in human life and raw materials as well as financially. I am not in favour of going to war unless we ourselves are directly threatened or good Intel suggests that we are about to be attacked. I also firmly believe that NATO served good purpose during the cold war years, and NATO membership meant that if our allies were attacked, that we would come to their defence and back them. However, NATO now needs to be redefined, and just because big brother USA decides to twat one of it’s enemies should NOT mean automatically that we should join them – shoulder to shoulder.
