Can we make toothpaste out of guava twigs?

No not toothpaste. However you could make toothbrush. A lot of people in poorer countries chew twigs and then brush with them after they are softened into a fibrous mass. Trees that have branches that are fibrous are best for these uses. The Chinese invented the modern toothbrush from pigs hair a thousand years ago so anything that is fibrous or hairy would do for a toothbrush. However for toothpaste anything that is abrasive would work such as pumice powder, fine sand, charcoal etc. Our modern toothpaste main ingredient is upto 80 to 90 percent very fine abrasives. The rest is flavouring, flouride and other chemicals which is not all that necessary.
