Can We Leap Frog Ion-Lithium Batteries & Cut Socialist Bolivia Out of the Picture?
For far too long the United States has been at the political surrender of Middle Eastern nations with large oil reserves that are near the surface, abundant, and easy to get at. The US wishes to break their dependence on foreign oil, but alas, everything we do is based on this fuel, oil is the motivating force driving our civilization’s transportation needs. Some wish to drive electric cars, which would be charged at home, unfortunately that would require lots of batteries per car, which has its own challenges. Namely, Bolivia, has half the known lithium deposits in the world, and it is fully aware of what that is worth. Thus, it too will do what’s in its best interest to leverage this gift against the modern world. Bolivia plans on maintaining a high price on its lithium which will drive up the price on batteries for cars. And all the other things we use ion-lithium batteries for such as laptops, cell phones, mobile devices, military equipment, and the 100s of industries with devices
