Can we have proper 2:3 pulldown for film based videos please?

When displaying film based videos (any type) that are encoded at 24fps (23.976) there is a great deal of jitterying when that video is displayed to a full progressive TV connected at 60hz (AppleTV connected to Sony 1080p SXRD TV with 120hz refresh rate for example). It would be expected of the media player to perform a proper 2:3 pulldown (or change the output refresh rate) to match the 60hz refresh rate of the TV to remove any jittering from video. It currently does not do an expected type of pulldown to convert the 24fps video to 30fps and results in hideously jerky playback especially on panning scenes. The AppleTV does this properly when using their menus to play the same videos, but, unfortunately, boxee does not. This problem is probably far more apparent on new high refresh televisions since they make it far more possible to notice the odd framerate.
