Can we get our facts straight about separation of Church and State?

I HAVE read both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and did NOT state that either text dictated separation of church and state, but that separation of church and state is one of the foundations that our nation was built upon by our founding fathers. And though it might not actually be printed in either text, it has enough of a bearing on our nation to be used successfully (and unsuccessfully at times) as a basis for defense in the US Supreme Court. So perhaps YOU need to get your facts straight and understand the concept of separation of church and state yourself.
