Can we get news without bias in a free society?
it’s very difficult, even when there is no bias, someone will assume that there *is* bias take for example, Israel/Palestine If the BBC reports that they found white phosphorus still burning, then the pro-zionists will assume that the palestinians put it there, and the BBC is being duped and is pro-palestinian If the BBC reports that Hezbollah have fired xx number of rockets into the territories in the last 24 hours, then the other side will claim that BBC is being used as a mouthpiece for zionists If it is reported that brown screws up, then the news is anti-labour if it is then reported that cameron screws up, then the news is anti-conservative Sometimes – no matter how careful a report is – it is simply a matter of perspective and perception
