A4: This situation is very similar to the previous question about the distiller. The RO unit will remove all the minerals if it is a good system. Some units do leave some minerals in and apparently it depends on the membrane, the pressure and the flow speed of the water. We now have several people using the Regency II water ionizer after an RO system with good results. I believe it is possible because the filter contains some ceramic Tourmaline beads and also some calcium beads. This may be releasing enough minerals into the water to alkalize it. In some cases you may require an Acid Neutralizer Cartridge to help raise the pH of the incoming water. As in the case of the distiller you may need a larger tank and a pump for maintaining the flow and pressure.
