Can we compare Pope John Paul II and the Levite Priesthood?
Now the Roman Catholic priesthood is modeled after the Levite priesthood and the Pope is their high priest, who is elected for life. The predecessor of John Paul II was John Paul I who lived only 33 days. He mysteriously died in 1978. John Paul II was elected in October of 1978. So his 20th year as a Pope will be October of 1998. The question is: “Will the Pope retire from office by death or medical reasons after serving his 20 years as the High priest?” In addition, since the Pope or the “Vicar of Christ” has already declared the year 2000 A.D. as a Jubilee year and is praying that he sees it, will his wish come true. This being 2,000 years on the current calendar from the birth of the Messiah the question is: Will he see June 6 of the Jubilee year? Now the Messiah did not.
