Can we blame the FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE on Christianity?

0

Christianity was the cause of the fall of Rome. It is true that there were civil wars between Roman generals before the empire converted to Christianity, but the general populace did not riot in the streets and kill each other in support of rival temples. After Constantine made Christianity legal and his sons made it the official religion, the Christians DID riot and kill each other in the streets and churches in their wars against “heresy.” A house divided cannot last. Christian Rome didn’t. The rival sects of Christianity went to war with each other. Even the “barbarian invasions” were part of it. When the Vandals sacked Rome, they were Arian Christians on a Crusade against their Christian rivals in Rome. Ever since monotheism first arose, its inherent vehement intolerance has been the prime driving force for destruction on this planet. Sadly, it doesn’t look like it is going to end any time soon.
