Can WAVE model ambients with pressures that vary with crank angle?
Yes. There’s a couple of options. You could specify a profile ambient (different ambient junction of the Junction Palette) or you could use a sensor on the engine to read the crank-angle and have it use a lookup map to actuate the pressure at a normal ambient junction. The second option is more robust as it would allow you to easily change speeds or run transients and you would always have the same pressure at the same crank-angle. The first option is easier to set up and will work well for a series of steady-state speed/load points.
