Can Wales join world rugby’s greats?
Feb 1 2009 by Barry John, Wales On Sunday THERE is no reason why Wales cannot win the Grand Slam again – and if they are to achieve true greatness that is what they must do. It is the hallmark of all the outstanding teams through history – they haven’t won flash-in-the-pan championships, they’ve produced it week after week, month after month, season after season. I’ve a feeling that all the ingredients are in place for Wales at present, and that there is a good chance they can have an extended period of success. But they have to go out and grasp it. It would be easy to say Wales can win another Grand Slam just because they won it last year.
