Of course it can. If you receive an email from someone in your webmail account, the phone number will be replaced with a click2call link. Furthermore, your contacts list will have the phone number replaced with the click2call link. This works with webmail accounts like Gmail, Yahoo etc. and even with proprietary webmail systems.
