Can viruses be past to different computers by memory stick?

Yes, a virus can be passed via a pen drive, memory stick, or any other piece of media. In fact, about 9 months ago, a virus attacked the place I worked and the only way it was transmitted (so far as we know) was through pen drives. It’s common name was the silly virus. It was annoying and would actually make pen drives so that they no longer functioned. As soon as you put them in a different computer, *poof* the other computer was infected.

You bet they can. You can get around this by making sure you only use memory sticks (or any media for that matter, CDs, DVDs, External HD, etc…) from a trusted source. Take it a step further by making sure you scan any storage device with your updated virus protection sw before exploring it or copying from it. If you use a lot of external devices, disable your auto ini parameters to keep your machine from taking action when you attach or insert any external device(s) without your input.
