Can violence in computer games influence violent behavior?

I think violent games, books, and violent movies can influence violent behavior; especially in young children. My nephew absolutely LOVES Transformers. He got in trouble at school not to long ago for holding his younger friend down on the ground and punching him. When the teacher asked why he did it he said, “We were just playing Transformers.” Violent media doesn’t affect all children this way, I’m sure but everyone’s different.
