To an extent. Village Engineering staff have access to the most recent FEMA floodplain maps, but these maps do not show individual lots. Therefore, a more detailed study of properties which are close to the floodplain may be necessary in order to make a definitive judgment (see Floodmap Information Request Form). It is also important to note that simply because an area is not in a FEMA designated floodplain does NOT insure that there are no localized drainage problems in the neighborhood or with the lot in question..
