Can victims know what treatment programs inmates have completed?
No. When an inmate enters the Department of Corrections, prison personnel determine what treatment programs would benefit that inmate. This is called a “prescriptive program”. Prison personnel cannot force the inmate to comply with their prescriptive program but this information will be taken in consideration when the inmate is being considered for release. Since an inmate’s Prescriptive Program is considered treatment, it is confidential and cannot be released to the public.
