The only VELUX skylight that can be installed sideways is the FCM curb mounted skylight. All VELUX deck-mounted and self-flashed units and flashing systems have a “true top” and are not to be installed sideways. If deck-mounted or self-flashed units are installed sideways, the warranty on the product will be void.
