Can VelocityHD Ingest and Output 5.1 Audio?
Material with an existing 5.1 audio mix (for which the user wishes to be able to play back and manipulate the audio) can be ingested into VelocityHD as discrete channels through embedded SDI audio. VelocityHD supports two groups (eight mono channels) of embedded audio on input. (Note that VelocityHD does not decode AC3 audio.) Individual audio tracks (already on disk) to be combined into a 5.1 mix can be imported into VelocityHD’s galleries and timelines. For output, each of VelocityHD’s two SDI outputs supports two groups (eight mono channels) of embedded audio, and VelocityHD also supports four AES/EBU output pairs; VelocityHD’s timeline tracks can be flexibly routed to these output channels.
