Can Vanderbilt doctors really regrow damaged heart muscle?
Vanderbilt is the first medical center to give a new drug called GGF2 to patients recovering from heart failure. In preclinical trials, the drug has helped to regrow damaged heart muscle, and now patients who have suffered heart failure are getting the drug in a Phase 1 trial at Vanderbilt.
