Can users change their e-mail address to a hotmail.com or msn.com account?
Users cannot move directly from their current sign-in address to a hotmail.com or msn.com address at this time. If they choose to create a Hotmail account (with a new Windows Live™ ID identity), they will not be able to log into any sites that required the old identity unless they also log into the Windows Live™ ID using the old identity. To easily move existing .NET Messenger Service contacts to a new Hotmail identity, users should:Change their current sign-in address.Sign into Messenger with their new address.Export their contacts:From the Contacts menu, click Export contact list.Save the file where it can be easily located (like their desktop).Sign off.Sign up for Hotmail.Sign into Messenger with their new Hotmail account:From the Contacts menu, click Import contacts from a file.Locate the file and select it.Contacts will be imported and added to their contact list automatically.
