Can UnitedHealth Group prohibit the use of tobacco if I choose to smoke alone in my car? Isn that a violation of my personal choice to smoke?
The company understands that individuals may feel they have the “right” to smoke in their private vehicles. The TFWP only prohibits such activity on UnitedHealth Group premises. Parking lots, grounds, and leased spaces are UnitedHealth Group premises, and, as a health and well-being company, we will not enable this life-threatening activity where we can prevent it.
