Can UniBears sort email message for playback via the telephone by time received?

0

A. Not yet. This restriction applies to Unified Messaging subscribers only when they access their messages through the telephone. Messages are not always read in the sort order one might expect. UniBears does not look at any date/time when it reads the messages. It presents the messages in the same default order as the IMAP server gives them. The IMAP server generally sorts on the time the message was added to the folder, not the time the message was received. There is an IMAP extension (the SORT command) which allows for sorting when LISTing messages, but not all IMAP servers support this. CGPro used by CalMail does not support the SORT command today. It’s likely that CalMail will support the SORT command by the start of the Fall 2006 semester.
