Can unconditional love, transcend family relationships?

Concerned by the bad attitudes and poor performance of the athletes on the court, Coach Carter establishes some pre-requisites to play on the team; which includes good grades, a dress code and respectful behavior. By instilling self-discipline, he creates a winning team. When Coach Carters learns that most of the players are doing poorly in class, he again takes immediate action by canceling all team activities. Outrage, the players, school and community fight to have the team play, despite their grades. Little did Coach Carter know the lasting impact this battle would have on the future lives of the team.
