Can U-Line product be placed in a closet or behind doors?
No, never install a unit behind closed doors. The units require proper ventilation. The grille, located in the front toe kick area under the door, is where the heat is escaping and fresh air is entering your unit. This area must be unobstructed, otherwise your unit will not cool properly and/or make ice. Airflow can not be measured if an individual wishes to put louvers in a solid door to enhance air circulation and therefore is not a recommended installation.
