Can u guys please name me some factors that cause hurricane formation?
The factors responsible for the formation of a hurricane are given below. (1)Warm ocean surface(atleast 26.5 degree celcius) (2)Steep lapse rate(fall of temperature with height) (3)Moist layer to a considerable height(atleast 5 Kms) (4)A pre-existing near-surface disturbance(Like a low pressure area) with sufficient vorticity and convergence, (5) vertical wind shear should be very less as strong vertical wind shear will disturb the system and (6)A minimum distance of 500 Kms from the Equator so that coriolis force can act.
