Well, I bet he could play that, if the double bass was really small and he put a pad under the chain so as to not seriously injure his latissimus dorsi muscles whilst playing. Perhaps it was a bass made out of styrofoam or some other modern, lightweight material, because I’m not sure the computers of the time could render such an advanced effect. But then again, maybe Peter Steele pumps some iron (lol) and is strong enough to handle playing in that manner. Since he does a lot of pushups while on tour, I think this is a reasonable approximation. I would say yes.
