There are no chemical compatibility issues with glycols and high density polyethylene (HDPE) (see the links below for proof); therefore, as long as the container is structurally sound enough to carry the desired quantity of liquid there will be no problems. According to most sources large quantities such as drums are generally shipped in steel containers. There may be department of transportation regulations regarding these kinds of chemical shipments.
