A. No, this is not possible. The Palm Operating System (PalmOS) can only run one program at a time, so when you switch from one application to another, the program you switched from is no longer running. To speed up the process, you can program the hardware buttons on the PDA to launch your favourite programs without having to select them from the screen menus.
