Can traditional medical models and alternative healing modalities be combined?

Most certainly. As an RN, I have worked with the traditional medical model for over 25 years. And I know that we need all avenues of healing and it all has a relevant place. If I have a bad headache, I will take an aspirin. Then I will sit and meditate on what might be causing it. It could be stress, fear, etc., or maybe I’m dehydrated and not drinking enough water, or I’m drinking too much caffeine, or possibly something triggered an old grief that is surfacing to be healed. I am excited to see the bridge between traditional medical models and alternative medical models coming together to promote healing on all levels; physical, emotional and spiritual.
