Can tools provided by other suppliers be used in the accreditation process?
Tools for data accreditation provided by other suppliers would have to be independently assessed to validate all responses from all 17 clinical systems; there is no resource to carry out this validation. If future changes were required to the queries or to the post-processing carried out on any of the data, further validation work would be required; again, there is no resource to do this on more than one tool. The secure interface between CHART and CHART Online has been carefully tested; there is no resource to devise, test and implement secure interfaces with other software products.
