Can tongue-tied babies have a chance to speak well when they reach the preschool years?
It is not dangerous to leave it-do some research. My husband is tongue-tied and so is my son. We had a little trouble breastfeeding at first, but he learned pretty quickly. He is 18 months old now and can communicate just fine. He says more words than I could begin to count. The only thing I don’t know yet is if he’ll be able to say his R’s correctly, because he still says them like most kids his age do. My husband has never had any trouble with speech at all, though. They can’t lick an ice cream cone right, but otherwise being tongue tied hasn’t been a problem for my husband or my little boy.
