Can thrush be an early symptom of pregnancy?
While yeast infections are more common during pregnancies, it’s not necessarily a sign that you’re pregnant. It could simply be a sign of a hormonal change happening within your body which isn’t allowing you to fight off the overgrowth of the candida as per usual. I’ve done some research into this myself and found that a lot of young women report a yeast infection before their periods. That period before your period is when you start experience hormonal changes, and oftentimes the infection goes away after your menses. To be on the safe side, you should get things checked out by your doctor. The other side of what you describe as thrush can also point to other forms of infection… It’s always better to be safe than sorry! Good luck!
Hiya. No, thrush is not a sign of pregnancy. It’s an over growth of a bacteria that naturally lives in the body. Hormones, anitibiotics, and using perfumed products in that area of the body can cause it. You can get over the counter products to treat it, if you know that’s what it is, howver, if you think that you may be pregnant, you need to see a doctor first. He/she will advise you if it is safe to use these products in pregnancy. Good luck.
