Providence accepts only about 1/3 of its applicants. It has become more selective. Back when I attended in the mid 70’s, it was a commuter school. No more. My SAT’s back then would not get me in today (granted, the school is now SAT-optional).The average student accepted has SAT’s in the 600’s.
