Can this “Access Rights” function be used for batch upgrading of students?
A. Another great use of this access rights functionality is restricting a whole batch of students — who are on the same learning stage — to certain lessons and assignments. Imagine a database of lessons and assignments created by a school teacher for a former class of hers. These lessons and assignments can be reused for a new class by tagging their Subject IDs with the appropriate access rights code, say _Month.Jan, _Month.Feb, _Month.Mar . . . so forth. This could be done with foresight by the teacher during the initial creation of these course material, so that she would not have to spend time modifying their Subject IDs subsequently. When this has been done, she can set the students’ access rights to _Month.Jan for the month of January. This way, students get to access only lessons and assignment with Subject IDs suffixed with _Month.Jan in January.
