Can they understand the Bulgarian language?
I have to disagree with the person above me. Firstly, there isn’t any Macedonian nation. The country’s name is FYROM (former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). There aren’t ethnic Macedonians, the name of these people is officially Slavomacedonians or Slav Macedonians cause they are slavs, related to bulgarians, that live in Macedonian area. Macedonia is Greek, so are Macedonians. Apart from all these, I agree with the rest. Slavomacedonians are related to Bulgarians, I could characterize them their brothers. They can read the cyrillic version of Bulgarian and can pronounce with a Bulgarian accent. The 60% of the Slavomacedonian language is derived from Bulgarian while the 20% is exactly the same. So, they can. Cheers!
