Can they only be put on a south facing roof?

0

Ideally the panel should be mounted on a south facing roof or one facing south westerly up to 30 or 40 degrees with only minimal loss of efficiency. If this is not feasible then a viable alternative is a split system with one panel on a west facing roof and a second on an easterly facing roof. Increasing the surface area (more tubes) can compensate for panel mountings in non ideal situations.
