Can they offer management service for science and new technology development and commercialization?
Can the major management consultancy offer services to help blue chip firms develop new material and physical technologies for innovation of new capabilities, processes and products? Services could for example be securing finance for R&D (either grant or private) or providing advice of IP management or finding and brokering technology deals. I’m using the term technology not as in IT or software but as emerging technologies as yet not commercialized but near to market – for example emerging clean technologies, manufacturing technologies, product technology, functional materials, biotechnology, medical technologies and nanotechnologies.
