Because they have a “common purpose” and that is to justify their actions in the flesh – actions which are a product of their own selfish desire. But on the positive side – as the children of God give themselves wholly to Him and place His Word as the supreme and sole authority in their lives; and as they seek for nothing but to do His will in His way THEN, in their “one accord”, God’s power shall be freely manifested in the earth and the spirit of rebellion which has rested on the vast majority of God’s people shall be put to flight and driven from His church! One who has “met” God and who has an “abiding” revelation of His authority shall have their eyes opened to see that which is of the Spirit of obedience and that which has its origin in lawlessness – both in themselves and in others – and with this blessing comes the great responsibility of walking in love at ALL times – NEVER seeking to exalt oneself and NEVER taking any offense at anything done to them.
