The derailleur does not use a clasp; we work with a stock pinching washer. We wrap the cord around the pinching bolt, 180 degrees around the bolt. Next, tighten the pinching bolt & washer down onto the cord. We have an installation video on our web which may help. The new 2009 Windsor clasps are superior. The prior shoulder bolt clasp, which has the two holes, is our 2006-2008 clasp product. I do not see why the clasp could not be used on the derailleurs. I would use the 5mm Windsor or the ZG clasp if I was to try such a modification. Let me know what other questions or comments you may have.
