Can these techniques help someone with alopecia areata?
Alopecia areata is an extremely distressing condition involving sudden and excessive hair loss. The hair usually falls out in clumps and can cause severe hair loss within days. Even total hair loss is possible (alopecia totalis and alopecia universalis). Alopecia areata, totalis and universalis all involve autoimmune skin disease where the body attacks its own (hair growing) cells and tissues. But, because the mechanism that actually causes this autoimmune response still remains unknown, successful treatment is very difficult to achieve. As such, it is unknown, but unlikely, that these techniques will help. The underlying mechanism needs to be addressed first. Back to Top of Page – reversing thinning hair and skull expansion FAQ.
