Can The XTR2 Accept Any Other Engines And Gearbox Combinations?
Westfield has designed the XTR2 specifically to utilize the Suzuki Hayabusa superbike engine and gearbox. Westfield did produce a derivative of the XTR2 – the XTR4 – that utilized a turbocharged Audi 4 cylinder engine and transaxle. However, while the XTR4 shared the same outer structure as the XTR2, the underlying chassis was much different. Unfortunately, the XTR4 is no longer produced.
