Can the VIE terminate the assignment ?
Yes. However, the VIE must justify that they have been promised a job in France or abroad. Any termination request is subject to a 3-month notice period. The return trip cost (travel and luggage transportation) is at the VIE's expense, except in extremely exceptional cases where it is left to the discretion of the recipient organization (UBIFRANCE / DGTPE (the Directorate General for Treasury and Economic Policy) / MAE (Ministry for Foreign Affairs). The intern, who terminates his/her assignment by personal decision, cannot request a new Civil Internship.
